The highest hygiene and cleanliness standards are essential when it comes to the manufacturing and packaging of foods.The plastics used in plants and machinery employed in the production of food and that come into contact with raw materials and finished foodstuffs must also meet these high demands.These ‘food contact material’ need to be correspondingly suitable.Murdotec already successfully completed all the necessary migration processes for its products used in the food sector in August 2011. These products have since been identified by an [LM] in the product name that stands for ‘Lebensmittel’ (‘Food’). Our FDA and EU food plastics meet the strict requirements issued by the food authorities and that have been set out in European Directives 1935/2004, 10/2011. Direct contact with food is no problem for our LM plastics.Regular migration tests show that our products are harmless when food comes into direct contact with the corresponding materials.
